Remembering Harley: Graveside memorial service honours homeless Hantsport man’s life | SaltWireSYDNEY, N.S. — A Sydney man is now scheduled to be sentenced in December after being found guilty of aggravated assault in connection with a brutal beating he inflicted on his former girlfriend.
MacRury said despite the victim being heavily intoxicated at the time of the offence, her evidence was corroborated by the medical evidence and the testimony of police officers called to the scene. MacRury also noted the evidence of an individual who heard noises coming from the motel room and saw the victim after the attack.
During the day, the woman said both she and Coleski were drinking. Coleski said he was also smoking marijuana.
