City's top public servant will leave City Hall at the end of January 2024
Malcolm White, the city's chief administrative officer, has officially announced his retirement. He is leaving City Hall at the end of January, 2024."CAO Malcolm White has informed Council of his intention to retire at the end of January 2024," Shoemaker wrote. "I couldn’t have asked for a better public servant to work alongside as mayor. Looking forward to continuing to work with him for the remainder of his time at @CitySSM.
As council is aware there can be longer than expected timelines for staff recruitment in current market conditions – this timeframe should mitigate any concerns in that respect. While everyone has brought their own unique skills, abilities and viewpoints, all have been united in their desire to do their part in making Sault Ste. Marie a strong, thriving and welcoming community.
