A Canyon Lake woman has been charged with murder in the killing of a 62-year-old man last month. An arrest warrant was issued and Cynthia Schubert , 63, turned herself in at the Comal County Jail on Tuesday, the Comal County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said last month that it was investigating the case as a possible homicide. A woman called about 7 a.m. on March 12 and reported she was in an altercation with her boyfriend, the sheriff's office said.

The incident occurred in a residential area on the south side of Canyon Lake, about 14 miles northwest of downtown New Braunfels. Schubert's bail was set at $50,000 and she was released the same day she turned herself in, according to Comal County jail records.
