The acclaimed Candlelight Concerts series lands in Victoria next month, with illuminated tributes to Taylor Swift, Hans Zimmer, and Queen on tap July 26 through Aug. 23.
Candlelight Concerts, which features outdoor classical music performances lit by thousands of candles, has visited more than 100 cities worldwide since 2015, and will make its Victoria debut with 12 concerts by the Listeso String Quartet over a four-week period. The Fort Common, located in the brick-lined area behind the Starbucks location at the intersection of Blanshard and Fort streets, will host tributes to Taylor Swift on July 27 and Aug. 9. Four performances of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons are on tap at the same venue July 26 and Aug. 23. The south lawn of Craigdarroch Castle is home to tributes to Hans Zimmer on Aug. 4 and Queen on Aug. 19.
Tickets for the hour-long performances start at $50 and are on sale now through feverup.com/en/victoria.
