Adriana Leon of Maple and King City, Ont., has signed a two-year deal with Aston Villa of the English Women's Super League.
The Canadian PressAdriana Leon, left, "will add another dimension to our evolving group," says Aston Villa coach Carla Ward. The Canadian has signed with the English Women's Super League squad for two years.
The 30-year-old forward was with Manchester United last year and spent the second half of the season on loan with the National Women's Soccer League's Portland Thorns. She was also a member of the Olympic gold medal-winning team in Tokyo in 2021 and has competed in three World Cups overall.
