OTTAWA--Canadian housing starts rose strongly last month, boosted by continued strength in multi-unit activity.
Urban starts of multi-family units, such as condominiums and row houses, increased 10% to 207,689 units, the second highest month this year, while starts for single detached units rose 3% to 43,077 units.
