“The TikTok app will be automatically removed and blocked from use on all government-issued mobile devices. This decision was made by the Chief Information Officer of Canada to ensure the security and protection of government information systems and networks.

ByteDance has repeatedly stated that Canadian user data is safely stored in the U.S. and Singapore and would never be provided to the Chinese government.Article content TikTok has also raised eyebrows in Europe, where the European Union’s data watchdog launched an investigation into “transfers by TikTok of personal data to China.”
