back in 2010, and while others failed to keep up with the ever-shifting digital landscape, she managed to diversify her brand and grow her following, which now stands at an impressive 1.3 million on Instagram. She is, and had long been, in a prime position to join forces with a brand, so why now? “In the fashion world it feels like anyone and everyone has a brand or is doing a capsule, so I had been shying away from that aspect for a while. But, let’s be honest – Mango had me at ‘party clothes’,” she laughs. “I love that when you’re creating clothes for going out you get to explore all the different sides of your personality. We used to have this idea of ‘desk-to-dinner’ dressing – just add a pair of heels – but I think that’s changed.
“Lockdown made us realise how important going out and seeing our friends was – sweating on the dance floor with strangers and random conversations with our tearful friends are so important for feeling good. A great party outfit is like a shot of tequila – it gives you that extra boost of confidence you need when you’re talking to people you don’t know or going up to a guy at the bar.”
