A California man whose wife lost part of her left foot after improper treatment of an ingrown toenail now faces life in prison after arranging the 2018 murder of the doctor responsible.

However, after an investigation, Shock surrendered his license and retired from Lodi Podiatry, which he founded in 1985. Lee and the trio were arrested in September 2018 after Lee’s fingerprint were discovered on Medical Board of California documents left at the crime scene near Shock’s body.
