ICYMI: Calgary International Airport breaks into top 100 best airports list yyc
The World Airport Awards by Skytrax are voted on by air travellers around the globe and their 2022-23 survey saw the YYC Airport climb 33 positions since the year before to crack the top 100. The survey results show Calgary’s airport ranking below other Canadian airports including Vancouver International Airport which placed 20th, Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in 45th and Toronto Pearson in 64th.
Halprin said the absence of light rail to the airport is likely having one of the biggest impacts on Calgary’s lower spot in the top 100. The Calgary Airport placed seventh of 10 in the most improved category and fifth for best regional airport in North America.
