Calgary Fire Department battles blaze at automobile recycling facility in Ogden yyc
Henke said with larger fires the fire department monitors air quality. The dark smoke was pushed southward by the wind.
“Any type of smoke is toxic to inhale, especially smoke from vehicle fires and building fires. It’s very dangerous to breathe in. But the smoke has already completely dissipated,” she said. Anyone who took photos or videos of the fire, specifically before the fire department arrived, is encouraged to forward them to the Calgary Fire Department to help investigators determine the cause of the blaze.
