has a wealth of film festivals, but the biggest headliners always seem to end up in Mill Valley.
Now in its 45th year, the Mill Valley Film Festival will begin Thursday, Oct. 6. In 2021, the festival highlights were"Dune" and"The French Dispatch." This year, the opening film will with be one of the buzziest of the year,"Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," the follow-up to the 2019 surprise hit murder mystery from directorLike the original, this film is anchored by detective Benoit Blanc , a sleuth for hire with a knack for unraveling webs of lies.
The first iteration of the franchise earned a staggering $311.4 million at the box office, so it's very likely the film will be another smash success. With a Dec. 23 release date, it will most definitely dominate the holiday release schedule.
