The competition is inspired by the reality series Cleveland Hustles. Since its inception the competition has coached 88 small businesses and connected winning businesses to nearly $1.7 million of capital.
, is searching for entrepreneurs to compete in its fifth season.
Megan Kim, COSE’s executive director, said the competition has helped its winners, semifinalists and applicants with coaching and resources. Once the applications are in, the top 20 businesses will be selected as semifinalists. Then they’ll be put in a business boot camp where experts and mentors will prepare them for their pitch.
