Emily Dickson needed just one reload in shooting range, anchors Canada to top-10 relay finish in Sweden
The 26-year-old Burns Lake native needed just one reload in two rounds of shooting to nail her 10 targets and as the anchor skier in the women’s 4 X 6 km relay, Dickson brought home a solid 10th-place finish for Canada, Saturday in Oestersund, Sweden.
The Canadian team, which included of Emma Lunder of Vernon, Nadia Moser of Whitehorse and Benita Pfeiffer of Whistler, finished the relay in 1:12:28.1. Norway won gold in 1:08.00.7.The Canadian women posted their best relay finish of the season Jan. 22 at a World Cup stop in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy.
Dickson was sick for most of the week In Oestersund, which limited her to just one solo race start. She placed 82nd in Thursday’s 15 km individual event. Dickson’s 66th-place finish was her best of seven solo events at the World Cup/World Championship level.
