Michael Wu, a local resident and entrepreneur, is set to run for the Burnaby North seat next fall for BC United.
However, it appears the first known candidate of any party running in one of the city's four electoral areas has been unveiled.
This will be the first time the entrepreneur and local resident of 25 years will run for any level of governance. "I'm running to be the next MLA in Burnaby North because I want my children to have the same opportunities I have had in my life; opportunities which have allowed me to fulfill my dreams." the husband and father of two explained.Wu will be competing in a riding that Janet Routledge has held since 2017.
