Jin, 30, the eldest member of K-pop group BTS, is the first to begin required military duty in South Korea. The six other members will serve at later dates.

“We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back,” the label said. “Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time.”K-pop sensation BTS delivered opening remarks at Tuesday’s White House press briefing ahead of the group’s Oval Office meeting with President Biden.
