Bride left heartbroken after less than half of confirmed guests show up to wedding reception
A bride was left in tears after nearly half of the guests who had confirmed their attendance at her wedding reception didn't show and 'ruined' her big day. The heartbroken newly-wed took to TikTok to explain in an emotional clip that 88 people including family, friends and work colleagues had confirmed they would be there to celebrate but not even 40 turned up.
In the TikTok video, she said: "88 people said yes and not even 40 of them showed up. Feeling like that kid that would always be left out right now." She wrote in the captions that she and her groom were forced to end the reception early and she sat in an empty room crying. She continued: "Nyx's family immediately left after pictures, my mum didn't say a single word to me until my dad made her.
Sympathetic viewers rushed to the comments to suggest she threw an alternative wedding with the supportive TikTok community. One friend wrote: "Let's have a wedding re-do! We are all coming!"
