Boy and girl arrested following fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Brianna Ghey in park
A boy and girl, both aged 15, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 16-year-old girl at a park in Warrington.Emergency services were called just after 15:00 after she was found lying on a path with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.Cheshire Constabulary Det Ch Supt Mike said a number of inquiries were under way and police were trying to establish the "exact circumstances" of her death.
"Patrols have been stepped up in the local area and officers will remain in the Culcheth area to provide reassurance and address any concerns that residents may have."
