We chat with 1923TV star Brian Geraghty about his respect for the Yellowstone franchise, working with Harrison Ford, and battling the elements on set:
The story of Yellowstone gets another chapter with 1923, which premieres December 18 on Paramount+. The latest prequel series from Taylor Sheridan returns once more to the earlier years of Dutton Ranch, this time four decades after the events of 1883. Between famine and economic hardship—not to mention internal strife among the family members themselves—the current generation of Duttons have their work cut out for them in the early 20th century.
Brian Geraghty: Yeah, I was a fan of Yellowstone, and I'm a fan of Taylor's in general. I saw Sicario, and then Hell or High Water and Wind River. I had worked with a lot of people on Wind River and Yellowstone, so I tuned in and was like, "This is great!" It just gets better and better. Being on the set with Harrison is great. He's just so fun and funny, and he likes to have a good time. When it's time to start shooting, he just gets very serious. He cares so much, and he really is there to make the best possible product at the end of the day, while having a good time. It's been a real pleasure.
