Starting pitching hasn't been the Milwaukee Brewers' strongsuit this season. The Seattle Mariners, by contrast, had a former Cy Young Award winner sitting in Triple-A while their major league squad was racking up the fourth-best ERA in baseball through Monday.With the July 30 trade deadline approaching, fewer trades will make more sense than Tuesday's.The Mariners are trading left-hander Dallas Keuchel to the Brewers, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
He's pitched for six different organizations in that time; the Brewers will be his seventh.Milwaukee has been somewhat of a surprise in the National League Central, leading the division by five games over the second-place St. Louis Cardinals . Their rotation hasn't been their strongsuit, however.Injuries and inconsistency have led first-year manager Pat Murphy to give the ball to 12 different starters in the season's first 77 games.
