BREAKING: Man who will appear in court after girl, 6, attacked by dogs on street is named
The girl suffered injuries caused by dogs on Ackers Lane in Carrington on Sunday afternoon . She was rushed to hospital following the incident, where she remains and is receiving treatment.
Bernard Valentine has now been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act in connection with the incident. The 35-year-old, of Ackers Lane, Carrington, has been charged with eight counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control that caused injury.Six of the charges relate to the reported dog attack on the girl. Police said the other two charges relate to an alleged incident on the same street in December 2022, when a man - aged in his 20s - and his dog were injured.
Mr Valentine has also been charged with possession of Class B drugs. He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today .
