Sitting 1-4 and nursing an array of injuries, the San Antonio Brahmas hope to find an offensive spark to trigger a second-half resurgence.

San Antonio Brahmas’ Reid Sinnett is sacked during the third quarter of Sunday’s XFL game against the Arlington Renegades.“It’s unfortunate, but now these guys get an opportunity,” Ward said. “They’re going to stay in the fight, and fight our tail off, and see if we can pull off a win in Arlington.”

The Brahmas will also be without starting offensive lineman Norman Price and receivers Travis Toivonen and Calvin Turner, while Travis Jonsen is listed as questionable. “Emotions vary, but I feel like overall, guys are still in it. Guys are still upbeat,” running back Jacques Patrick said. “Guys still believe that we can do what we need to do, because we control our own destiny. I know we have the talent. I know we have the guys to do it in the locker room. We just have to go out there and show it.”

Ward has stressed through the year that San Antonio’s shortcomings are a matter of simple “execution” — losing sight of small details that can cause a play to crumble.
