Dawson boys use fast start to claim district basketball win over Elsik

Dawson led 27-9 after the first quarter, but that impressive eight-minute segment was followed by 2 ½ quarters of sloppiness, which didn’t sit well with Barre. “We fouled way too much. It was terrible basketball…hard to watch. We were kind of lucky to get out with a win.” Dawson led 50-28 after a Kendrick Bailey layup with 3:19 left in the third quarter, but that’s when Elsik went on a 22-8 run to pull within 58-50 with more than four minutes remaining.
