The Italian luxury label joins other retailers at the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort, including Brunello Cucinelli, The Webster and James Perse.
The 900-square-foot space at the five-star luxury resort in Montecito, Calif., has an Italian Mediterranean feel with beige stucco on the outside. Large windows filter in the California sun. Inside is an array of men’s and women’s products, including handbags, jewelry and clothing. The store will be showing the luxury brand’s pre-fall 2024 collection as well as the Summer Solstice collection unveiled earlier this year with handbags, jewelry, shoes and swimwear.
The new location’s interior takes inspiration from the coastal architecture found in the Mediterranean seaside villages of Italy and extends it to California. There is Venetian marmorino plaster, containing natural limestone, powered marble and fine sand. The space is accented with organic slabs of stone, called Palladiana terrazzo, often found in Italian villas, while teak wood elements and white terracotta tiles add depth to the space’s earthy texture.
Bottega Veneta, which is owned by Kering, has a number of Southern California stores on high-end retail streets and shopping centers in the area. It has a Beverly Hills store on Rodeo Drive, a venue on Melrose Place in Los Angeles and a location at Palisades Village, a Caruso development in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.
