More photos from fireworks in Greater Manchester this evening
due to rising costs, but they still went ahead in Oldham, Salford, Rochdale and Wigan. And there has also been loads of bonfires taking place at sports clubs, pubs and in back gardens across the region.
We've had reporters and photographers at bonfires across Greater Manchester - with some stunning photos in our blog below. However, the evening has also seen some anti-social behaviour, as fire crews reported being attacked with fireworks. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service tweeted tonight: "Sadly our crews were met with anti-social behaviour when attending an incident in Eccles. A firework was thrown at crews who were trying to extinguish a bonfire. No one should be attacked when trying to keep communities safe. It'sor Tweet us at @MENnewsdesk
