UPDATE: An investigation is underway after a woman was found decapitated inside a Northeast Philadelphia home on Tuesday. A person of interest is in custody. CydneyLongNBC10 spoke with a neighbor who described the problems she witnessed at the house:
Police responded to a home along the 300 block of Magee Avenue around 12:45 p.m. after receiving a 911 call. When they arrived they found the body of a 41-year-old woman with a severed head on the kitchen floor.
Police said a person of interest was taken into custody about six blocks away from the home near Robbins and Rising Sun avenues. Investigators have not yet revealed if the person of interest knew the victim.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.
