Construction on Interstate 635, Bobtown Road, the city’s Downtown Square and more are underway in Garland. Here’s what you need to know.
This year, several spots around Garland, including Bobtown Road and the Downtown Square, are getting significant facelifts.is scheduled for completion this year. In January, traffic on Bobtown Road and Waterhouse Boulevard will be redirected to the new pavement on the south side of Bobtown Road and east side of Waterhouse Boulevard. During this time, motorists won’t be able to access Daytona Drive and Sarasota Drive from Bobtown Road, the city said.
Later this month, construction is scheduled to start on Main Street between Fifth and Sixth streets. Once construction kicks off there, the area will be closed to traffic and parking. Businesses and the sidewalk on the south side of Main Street will remain open.
