12.06% of over 16s in the seaside town have divorced from their husband or wife.
Blackpool's divorce rate is third highest in the UK, according to new data from the Office for National Statistics.
Blackpool's rate is above the national average of 9.1%, while 42.6% of residents in the borough have never married and 35.3% are currently married or in a civil partnership. Elsewhere in Lancashire, Burnley has a divorce rate of 10.
"There are a number of reasons for that. People are getting married at an older age and are consequently getting divorced when they are older. "It has completely removed the need for blame to be apportioned for adultery or other unreasonable behaviour when a relationship breaks down and separating couples have responded well to these changes."
