National Weather Service says travel to San Bernardino County mountains should be restricted to emergencies only with 'extremely heavy snow and extremely heavy winds' expected
Officials said there were three snow plows working the area but said they couldn’t keep up with the snow, which fell to the 2,000-foot level overnight.
Grieshaber said some motorists were stuck in the snow while others were stopping because they were uncomfortable trying to drive in the snowy conditions. The National Weather Service said that Palomar could receive as much as 6 feet of snow by Sunday as more waves of the storm system move through, and Mount Laguna could have 4 feet.
