Candidates running for a seat on the San Jose City Council are at odds with one another over missing campaign signs.

One of the two candidates running to unseat Esparza from her District 7 seat is Van Le, who says she’s had more than 250 campaign signs stolen since April. More than 70 of those, she said, were stolen in a single night from a long stretch of road in Vietnam Town.

She mentioned one instance in which a sign tied to a fence had to be replaced three times because it had been cut down, while her opponents’ signs nearby remained untouched.
