Peyton Waters helped spark Birmingham in West Valley League opener.
GRANADA HILLS — The Birmingham High football team leaned on its top playmaker to lead it past Granada Hills at John Elway Stadium on Friday night.
Waters, a Washington commit, ignited the offense in the first half. On both of the Patriots scoring drives, he kept drives alive by converting fourth down plays to keep the offense on the field. Hall added a pair of rushing scores in the win. He scored from 15 yards out to get the Patriots on the board in the first quarter and added a 1-yard score in the fourth.
