Microsoft shares, up 7.3% in Wednesday trading, are on pace to log their best single-day percentage gain since Nov. 10, 2022, when they rose 8.2%. More significantly, the shares are also on track for a milestone when looking at their gains on an absolute basis: Any daily gain in the share price upwards of $19.77 would be a record for Microsoft.
