Former New England Patriots Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick believes the Kansas City Chiefs could win a third straight Super Bowl this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs became the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls in two decades this past February when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.Prior to the Chiefs claiming the Lombardi Trophy for the second consecutive season, there had been a nearly 20-year drought since the New England Patriots last won two Super Bowls in a row in 2003 and 2004.

They're gonna have some tough opponents through the course of the season and the playoffs,' Belichick said on the Pat McAfee Show. 'Andy Reid will have them ready to go and I think they'll score more than they did last year. We'll see if they can hold up defensively.'The Chiefs, and especially quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have been clear that the goal is to win that elusive third straight Super Bowl.
