Big change by broadband provider to cut bills for millions on Universal Credit and benefits
Previously only those claimingBut with the launch of Virgin's new automatic verification tool - millions more hard-up households on the following benefits are now eligible:The firm has become one of the first major telecoms providers to work in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions’ so they can check customer eligibility.
This makes it faster and easier for customers to prove their eligibility with an automated check - instead of relying on customers having to prove their entitlement to benefits.
