THUNDER BAY — A group of women involved in the local craft brewing scene have partnered together to create a new beer to celebrate International Women's Day.
Mika and Scotia, brand ambassadors for the local Society of Beer Drinking Ladies group, said the process was a collaboration after a women-only event held in January. “No offence to any men, we don’t want any men to tell us what kind of beer we like or we don’t want it explained to us — aka mansplained,” Mika said. “But we also wanted to create a safe space for women to enjoy beer, learn about some great things that people are doing in the community and women organizations.
