Three months. We need big-time help.
Did the fact the province put a dozen sheriffs in Calgary get city hall to think maybe, just maybe, those who are supposed to be in charge in this city weren’t doing Job Number One?It was 14 years ago and there was all sorts of social disorder and plenty of bad actors in this city.But, at the time, police had resources to try to hit the hotspots of nastiness. The mayor and the police chief of the day spoke freely and often about taking back the streets.
Now there is despair. The awful headlines do not become fewer. They become more frequent, almost numbing in their regularity.
