The next collection is two weeks away

Belfast City Council has apologised to residents for "inconvenience caused" surrounding bin collections over the festive period.

There are no scheduled bin or recycling box collections taking place today, December 27. Those collections which should have taken place today, will be emptied on the next collection day, which is Tuesday, January 10 - two weeks away. A spokesperson for the council said: "We're sorry for this inconvenience and understand that levels of waste and recycling can increase over the busy Christmas period."Our recycling centres and civic amenity sites have reopened today, and are available for residents to dispose of any extra recycling or waste between your bin and box collections. However, we recognise that this won't be possible for everyone.
