“People can come down and participate in six events, too. One of the events is Challenge the Chief, and you can challenge the chief to a tug-of-war. I can see that being a bunch of kids at one end of the rope and the chief and some deputy chiefs on the other end,” said Libin.
“We created Beacons of Hope as an opportunity to invite Calgarians to either come to a physical event or to go online and share messages of support to say, ‘Hey, we appreciate you. We thank you.’ And to create a two-way dialogue where our police could also thank the public,” said Libin.Article content
