New Database Provides Free, Public Access to Federal Policies, Incentives, Executive Orders, and Regulations Related to Batteries for EVs and Stationary Energy Storage
, a federal interagency working group pursuing DOE’s recommendation, initially identified the need to have ready access to relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and incentives.
“The Battery Policies and Incentives database serves to help stakeholders at each level of the supply chain be aware of existing regulations for all aspects of the battery life cycle and supply chain including production, distribution, use, and recycling,” said NREL’s Ted Sears, an advanced vehicle and fuels regulations senior project leader.
