DC fans have noted that the new combined form of Superman and Batman seems to have some hallmarks of other heroes, such as Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth and Green Lantern's construct energy. Batman/Superman: World's Finest 4 reveals the truth June 21.
DC Comics has revealed a new character who is a combination of Batman and Superman, but his costume and accessories hide a Justice League-sized secret in plain sight. In new art for Batman/Superman: World's Finest #4 by artist Dan Mora, the new Batman/Superman combination character takes the spotlight. However, upon a closer look, it seems the new creation is more than just a Man of Steel/Dark Knight combo, and may even be a one-man Justice League.
In Batman/Superman: World's Finest, the duo have been going up against Devil Nezha, a demonic villain capable of possessing magic-users. With a major mystical threat testing Batman and Superman, it makes sense to expect the unexpected, but recently publicized cover art suggests that Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent may soon take on a merged form, with aspects of this new character's costume design hinting it will be something even greater than a genius Kryptonian.
— Dan Mora May 20, 2022 It seems the new combination character is much more than just a Batman/Superman merger, as he seemingly possesses the abilities and costume details of some of the Justice League's greatest heroes. The character appears to be wearing Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth and wielding energy similar to Green Lantern, with a helm resembling that of Batman's protege Red Hood.
Another big question mark hanging over the character is what their name will be. The DC Universe actually already has a 'Most Excellent Superbat' in Heino Okata, so it's possible this obvious combo name won't be available for the merged form, despite what its epic logo suggests. Likewise, DC's ongoing series Dark Knights of Steel means a nickname merger probably also won't be used.
