In Batman/Superman: World's Finest, the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel ventured to the dark world presented in Kingdom Come and were horrified at the sights they discovered.
Things only got worse when Boy Thunder was kidnapped by the Joker and the Key. David was tortured by the Clown Prince of Crime and nearly killed the Joker in revenge. However, shortly after being rescued, David vanished from the DC Universe and was accidentally transported to another world in the multiverse: Earth-22, the setting for Kingdom Come.
Unfortunately, Magog isn’t strong enough to stop Darkseid, but he does have enough power to completely atomize Gog. While Magog is successful and makes Darkseid depart, Magog is chewed out by his fellow heroes for killing Gog. Magog leaves, but the fight continues as Superman blames his Earth-22 counterpart for David’s behavior. But before Superman spills the beans on Earth-22’s horrifying future, the Spectre arrives to take Bruce and Clark to their own worlds.
In Justice League: The Nail, Martha and Jonathan Kent never found Superman as a baby, depriving the DCU of its most inspiring figure and accidentally creating a world filled with anti-metahuman paranoia. In Flashpoint, Superman was abducted and kept isolated as part of a government experiment and the rest of the world went to absolute hell without him. And these were just worlds where the Man of Tomorrow was absent. Even worse are the worlds where Superman was corrupted or fell from grace.
