A bar owner has been left feeling frustrated after being unable to access his business due to vehicles obstructing his way.
“We can get up to 50 barrels of beer delivered that have to be carried into the premises and doing that is dangerous. It is ridiculous that we have to carry heavy beer barrels to our business.“One of these days someone will slip on the cobbles and crack their spine or break their back. It is extremely annoying and an inconvenience. It wastes valuable time and it is uncomfortable.
Mike says the parking issue has been an intermittent problem over the last five years but the problem has gotten particularly worse in the last year. “Mike and I have been sent round in circles. The police say they don’t deal with these issues and to contact your local councillor, but the county council are refusing to correspond with us further and say they cannot do anything about it.
