It's the great pumpkin pie, Charlie Brown
My family loved this recipe! We had it for Thanksgiving dinner and I was told again and again it was the best pumpkin pie they'd ever had. The only thing I changed was using a sugar pumpkin that I roasted and pureed instead of buying canned pumpkin. I'm wondering if some folks who thought the crust was too dry forgot to add the egg to the mixture....I usually beat the egg and vinegar together and then add them to the flour mixture with with ice water.
However, the pie filling itself came out SO TASTY and loved by everyone on Thanksgiving! Next time I would double the cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg because I like a little extra spice. I baked mine for 75 mins which left ~1 inch circumference of jiggly center which settled nicely after letting it sit for a few hours at room temperature before serving. Topped with homemade whipped cream=PERFECTION.Following up to my previous comment..
