Too early?
Christmas food may still be in the fridge, decorations still adorn homes throughout the country and yet, in popular discount store B&M at least, Easter has hit - and shoppers are not happy. The retailer has outraged customers by stocking Milkybar Mini Eggs bars and posting about the goodies on social media.
Writing on Instagram, B&M said: "Grab this tasty Milky Bar Mini Eggs bar in stores now for just £1.25!" Adding: "It's NEVER too early for Mini Eggs... am I right?!" Well, it seems shoppers strongly disagree with the statement. "Woah woah woah… calm down!" said one social media user, adding: "Our Christmas trees are still up! ". Another added: "Nooo not yet plz." With a third joining in: "Are you kidding me!"The timing of the post and the stock certainly created a response from shoppers. Over 150 people shared their opinions on the matter in just 18 hours of it being posted, with nearly 2.5k property reacting with a like to the news.
Instagram Milkybar Mini Eggs bars are part of Nestle's Easter range. Milkybar is the firm's 11th oldest brand, launched in 1936 but brought to life in TV advertising when the Milkybar kid first appeared on screens in 1961. The mini eggs bar is a relatively new addition to the range and it appears to have a strong following regardless of the time of year.
One person wrote: "I demolished mine. Ate mine on the 23rd while wrapping last bits, helped me through the pain." Another said: "Omg love them x." A third said: "Ohhhhh yesssss!!!!" However, another fan summed up the general mood: "I NEED this. Just maybe not yet".
