Will be part of display inside B.C. Place
The letter S stands for superb in Island sports history. Five S’s — Stanley, Steve, Silken, Simon and Stilwell — encapsulate a glory-laden swatch of Island athletic history and will be honoured by the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame in its Defining Moments Gallery.
The gallery honours milestone moments rather than individuals. Nash , Laumann , Whitfield , Stilwell and the 1925 Cougars have already been inducted into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame. The announcement of the 2023 selections are in conjunction with the B.C. Sports Hall Fame’s annual summit, which this year will be held in Victoria from Sept. 14-16.
