Avril Lavigne previously presented the award for the Video for Good category during the 2021 ceremony, while Bebe Rexha last appeared the preceding year, when she handed out the trophy for Video of the Year. DJ Khaled last presented in 2019 to introduce rappers Big Sean and ASAP Ferg to the audience. Get ready to see new faces and seasoned pros take over the VMAs in a couple of nights!
It was also announced on Friday that an Extended Play Stage will also feature appearances from Conan Gray, Flo Milli, JID, and Lauren Spencer Smith. This year’s show will return to New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The ceremony previously hit the Garden State in 2019, hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco; last year’s show aired from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Find more info at
