The Avalanche announced it has re-signed forward Ben Meyers to a one-year contract on Wednesday
and was one of Colorado’s more proficient players in the face-off, winning 51.3% of his matchups last season. He also recorded 24 points in 30 games with the Colorado Eagles, the Avs’ AHL affiliate.
The 5-foot-11, 194-pound Meyers was undrafted but signed a two-year, entry-level contract with Colorado following his senior season at the University of Minnesota. That season, he scored 41 points in 34 games and was named a Hobey Baker Award hat trick finalist. The Minnesota native also represented Team USA at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where he had four points in four games.
