The Yankees' 2020 first-round draft pick is headed to the big leagues for the first time.

Wells, 24, is only a .240 hitter this year in 96 minor-league games, but he has 17 homers, 72 RBI and a .775 OPS, all impressive numbers. His Triple-A stats are better: .254 with five homers and 20 RBI in 33 games.
“His receiving has been good. The throwing has still been an issue. There seems to be a presence that he has with pitchers, so it’s a pretty good feel back there. He’s made enough strides that we feel can very much be in play.
