Aurora, Oswego and Plainfield schools report a ‘suspicious individual’ trying enter, tour school buildings
Local police departments are investigating a “suspicious individual” who tried to gain access to and take tours of several schools in Aurora, Plainfield and Oswego, police officials said Wednesday.
Police determined the person had requested tours of several schools but never entered a school building. After the request raised concerns, Aurora police spokesperson David Guevara said the schools contacted police out of concern.“We all communicate with one another in the event of a circumstance like this,” Guevara said, adding that’s how the police departments teamed up after learning the individual approached more than one town.
