The Reds had another standout season finishing in first place at 24-4-2 and are currently ranked second in the country. The U Sports No. 6 Huskies were nine points back of UNB at 20-9-1. Each are coming 3-1 series wins in their respective semifinals. The top two teams – UNB and the St. Francis Xavier X-Women – in the AUS women’s league will meet in the final, which begins Saturday evening.
The X-Women are making their sixth consecutive AUS women’s hockey final appearance. They won the title in 2020.
